Ministry Events:

There are several events you can attend to get involved at Hope. Regularly attending Worship and Sunday School is the best place to start. These events are also a great way to grow in your faith and become part of the community at Hope. Check the calendar for dates and times.

Women’s Tuesday Morning: This study for women meets from 6:00 am to 7:00 am on Tuesday mornings at the Hope Office (225 Battery Park Road, Smithfield). Although it’s early, there isn’t a better way to start the day than by studying the Bible.

Women’s Thursday Morning: This study for women meets from 9:30-11:30 am on Thursday mornings at the Runals’ (11280 Magnolia Place, Smithfield).

Men's Thursday Afternoon: This men’s bible study meets at the Hope Office (225 Battery Park Road, Smithfield) most Thursday afternoons , from 5:00-6:00 pm.

Small Groups: We have several small groups that meet for fellowship, prayer and study. If you’re interested in joining a small group contact Ben.

Youth Group: Students 7-12th grade are invited to come to Big Wednesday. We meet most Wednesdays for fellowship, games, and learning from the Bible. Check out the Youth Facebook page for the latest information.

First Friday Fellowship: The men meet the first Friday of the month for food, fellowship, and prayer.

Service Opportunities:

Christians are called to serve. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” Even if you are new to Hope we’d love to have you serve somewhere. Serving the Church is a great way to get connected and involved. Here are some of the places you can serve;

Worship Team: Do you play an instrument or sing? We are looking for more people to add to the worship team. Contact Ben Shear: 771-1035

Children’s Ministry: We are looking to add some new teachers and nursery workers. Contact Shirley Emerson: 369-4918

Hospitality/Greeters: Would you like to be a part of greeting visitors and setting up hospitality? If so, please contact Katie Boomer: 357-0717.

Sunday Service Team: It takes some effort to setup and tear down for Church every Sunday. We are looking to add more people to our setup teams. Contact Paul Puryear: 357-4929.

Sound Crew: The sound crew serves by running and setting up the sound equipment for the worship service. Even if you know nothing about sound equipment, you can still serve. Contact Roger Rockey: 408-3921.

Christian Outreach: We actively support Christian Outreach by collecting food donations on Sunday Morning. If you are interested in helping out with this ministry contact Bob Neel: 357-5622
